T-Bucket fanatic since 1957 when my 8 year old eyes became glued to a full page LIFE magazine photo of Norm Grabowski in the wildest hot rod I had ever seen! I later discovered the fascinating T-Buckets of TV Tommy Ivo, Marty Hollmann, Bob Johnston and Ed “Big Daddy” Roth’s T-Bucket inspired Outlaw. I was hooked for life on T-Bucket hot rods!

TBucketPlans.com originated in 2005 as a personal blog extolling the virtues of T-Buckets. In 2009 I blogged about Chester Greenhalgh, the "how to" genius who wrote the legendary, out-of-print “How to Build a T-Bucket Roadster for Under $3000”. That led to a friendship with Chester and our partnership in marketing the updated eBook version of his T-Bucket building bible. The T-Bucket fire burns stronger and stronger.

It was baseball great Yogi Berra who coined the expression, “It’s déjà vu all over again”. I found myself uttering this famous Yogiism while flipping through the ad-dense back pages of the November, 2010, “Street Rodder” magazine and seeing this ad for the Baron & Tucker Hot Rods 23 ‘T’ body and chassis kits for … Read more

Just happened to be in Southern California on a weekend that coincided with the El Segundo Police Officers Association 13th Annual Main Street Car Show. I’ve attended before and I really like this kind of car show where the main street in town is blocked off and you get to leisurely wander while viewing the … Read more

Gumball Machine T-Bucket at Buckethead Bash

I’m a sucker for the late 60s/early 70s psychedelic T-Bucket paint jobs, which incorporated panels, fogs, fades, bursts, lace, cobwebs, ribbons, stripes, murals, etc. in flakes, pearls and candies

Easy-In/Easy-Out T-Bucket Top

Easy-In Easy-Out T-Bucket Top

This soft top lifts up to make it easier to get in and out of the T-Bucket! For all us past-middle-age bucketheads faced with no doors, how clever is that?!

A couple months ago, I posted about the 4th Annual T-Bucket “Buckethead Bash” to be held in “beautiful” Mountain Home, Arkansas. I’m not just tossing the adjective beautiful around. The drive to Mountain Home is almost as enjoyable as the “bash” itself. Don’t believe me? Just take a look at this photo I snapped out … Read more
