As you may know, I’m a huge fan of the iconic Fred Steele T-Bucket that captured the hearts and imaginations of possibly millions when it appeared on the Ventures in Space album cover in 1964. I know you’ll enjoy as much as I did this podcast interview with Bob Collins, who was lucky enough to purchase the T-Bucket from Fred.
Anyone today with appreciation for T-Buckets of the 1960s will love hearing Bob discuss how this truly unique and innovative T roadster came about and how Fred Steele fulfilled his own dreams by moving from Massachusetts to Southern California with it and becoming an L.A. Roadsters member. Quite simply the T has more cool elements than you can shake a stick at. 🙂 You’ll enjoy listening to this Hooked on T-Bucket Hot Rods Podcast episode. You’ll find our podcast episodes published there where you can listen to them online. We’ve also included some handy how-to information that will enable you to subscribe to our free podcast using your smart phone, tablet or PC. Hey, it’s all just one more way for us to share the T-Bucket passion and help others discover the fun of T-Bucket hot rods.
TBucketPlans.com originated in 2005 as a personal blog extolling the virtues of T-Buckets. In 2009 I blogged about Chester Greenhalgh, the "how to" genius who wrote the legendary, out-of-print “How to Build a T-Bucket Roadster for Under $3000”. That led to a friendship with Chester and our partnership in marketing the updated eBook version of his T-Bucket building bible. The T-Bucket fire burns stronger and stronger.
