When I started putting together our Hooked on T-Bucket Hot Rods Podcast one of the first people I interviewed was the Camfather himself, Ed Iskenderian.
Ed Iskenderian’s T roadster is one of the most famous hot rods ever built. Featured on the cover of Hot Rod Magazine in 1948 and turning 120 mph at El Mirage it also had custom features not found on any other T.
Ed started building his T roadster over 80 years ago! And it’s still a timeless classic. Ed is 98 years old today and you can enjoy the celebration by listening to our incredibly informative almost one-hour interview with him in Episode 11 of our Podcast. I know you’ll enjoy it.

I later discovered the fascinating T-Buckets of TV Tommy Ivo, Marty Hollmann, Bob Johnston and Ed “Big Daddy” Roth’s T-Bucket inspired Outlaw. I was hooked for life on T-Bucket hot rods!

In 2009 I blogged about Chester Greenhalgh, the "how to" genius who wrote the legendary, out-of-print “How to Build a T-Bucket Roadster for Under $3000”. That led to a friendship with Chester and our partnership in marketing the updated eBook version of his T-Bucket building bible. The T-Bucket fire burns stronger and stronger.
